Police said an officer was conducting routine patrols in that area when a male employee of Gateway Cold Storage saw the police car and darted away, prompting a search. The call for assistance went out about 3:30 p.m. 18 – The Valmeyer Fire Department assisted Valmeyer police and other responders in searching for a missing person in the caves of Gateway Cold Storage, located at Rock City, 1429 Boulder Boulevard. 19 – The possible theft of a battery from a vehicle in the 300 block of East Fourth Street is under investigation. 15 – Aaron Brigance, 21, of Valmeyer, was arrested on an in-state warrant at U-Gas. 14 – Dylan Young, 24, of Chester, was arrested for retail theft at Walmart after allegedly taking vodka from the store. She was transported to Belleville Memorial Hospital. Initial reports indicate a female driver exited the vehicle safely with minor injuries. Clair County emergency personnel in responding to a vehicle rollover on Bohleysville Road at Waterloo Road about 11 p.m. 17 – Waterloo fire, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department and Monroe County EMS assisted St. Anthony’s Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Firemen pried open a door to remove the woman from her truck. A woman driving a Dodge truck apparently veered out of the path of a deer in the roadway and the truck overturned multiple times. Clair County Sheriff’s Department in responding to a single vehicle rollover crash on Triple Lakes Road just north of Imbs Station Road about 6 p.m. 15 – Columbia fire and EMS assisted the St. The Columbia Fire Department provided assistance at the scene. The owner was able to get out of the pond but could not get the dog out. According to 9-1-1 dispatch, the owner saw his dog in the pond and tried to conduct a rescue himself but also fell through the ice. The dog was rushed to Waterloo Animal Hospital. The dog was rescued by Valmeyer firefighter Tim Valentine, who donned cold water rescue gear and pulled the dog out of the pond. 19 – Deputies assisted the Valmeyer Fire Department in responding to a call in the area of 1300 Garleb Road about 2:30 p.m., after a Saint Bernard belonging to Garrett Crossin fell through the ice of a pond. Entry was gained by breaking the back door of the residence, and items taken include two shotguns, cowboy memorabilia, a ceiling fan, golf clubs, shoes and other items. 15 – A burglary to a vacant home for sale in the 200 block of West Jefferson Street in Hecker is under investigation. 15 – William Cornelison, 25, of Belleville, was arrested on an in-state warrant. 15 – Christopher Brandenburger, 32, of Dupo, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery following an incident that occurred on Limestone Lane at Bluff Road. 15 – Heather McCabe, 29, of Imperial, Mo., was arrested on Monroe County warrants for unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a prescription form. 14 – Philip Roscow, 21, of Renault, was arrested for domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence in the 2100 block of Main Street in Renault. Price, 39, of Red Bud, was arrested on a Monroe County warrant and for no insurance on I-255 westbound at milepost 5.6.
